We're real... I think

What are you guys grateful for today? I used to be grateful for the warm spring sun... until it turned me into a tomato :(

This week was actually pretty good though. It started out slow, because all our activities got canceled while they were renovating the church, but it got better!

We got a new friend this week! His name is Omar and he was a referral from Facebook. When we first contacted him, he thought we weren't real. Even after we started having call lessons with him, he was like, "And you guys like... actually exist?" We kept telling him that we were real and that he should lowkey just come to church and find out for himself. He did! He thinks we're real now! Yay!

One lovely day, us Hermanas decided to have dinner at a taco truck. The latino at the register started sadly talking to us in English. We all responded and started chatting in spanish, and his face quickly lit up. Next thing you know, we get 3 free drinks and a dessert! Yummy! And also had a really awesome convo with them! I love when latinos get surprised that 3 gringos know spanish jaja!

Pensamiento Espiritual 
"But there is a law given, and a punishment affixed, and a repentance granted; which repentance, mercy claimeth; otherwise, justice claimeth the creature and executeth the law, and the law inflicteth the punishment; if not so, the works of justice would be destroyed, and God would cease to be God.
But God ceaseth not to be God, and mercy claimeth the penitent, and mercy cometh because of the atonement; and the atonement bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead; and the resurrection of the dead bringeth back men into the presence of God"(Alma 42:22-23).
One of my favorite names for Jesus Christ is The Mediator, and these verses perfectly describe why. People sin. People make mistakes. And because of this, God has to excersize his laws of Justice. 
But God also loves us, so he sent his son Jesus Christ to be our Mediator, to bring us mercy, and live again. Through Jesus Christ, both justice and mercy are possible. 
I know that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. I know that through him, we not only can be cleansed of our sins, but be perfect as he is perfect one day. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Joe the Bacon Man🥸🥓

Holaaaaaaa Not a crazy ton happened this week, but here's a list for y'all: ♡Mini golfing with the frenchies (french elders) on P-day!!! Got 3 holes in 1!!!  ♡EXCHANGES!!! With Sister Higley!! She's super great!! English work isn't though :( ♡At the food bank we volunteer at, there's this guy that only ever wants bacon. We named him the Bacon Man. Then we found out that his name was Joe. He's Joe the Bacon Man, wanted in two states. (I will not explain that second part any further.) ♡What's the most famous thing about Kentucky? KFC? WRONG! It's the Kentucky Derby of course!! Which happens to be in my area! They have this special event called Thunder over Louisville that we got to go to! It's basically a fair by the Ohio river!! ♡We have this one new member named Jero that is very picky with getting along with people. Hola hola! Sorry I missed last week. It won't happen again... probably. Elder Caussé Last Saturday we had a mission tour from none other than our brand new apostle... ELDER CAUSSÉ!!! Woot woot!  For the past month, since we got the news, everyone had been absolutely freaking out about this. I mean, he's one of the 12! But as the mission tour commenced, we quickly found out something even better about this man- he's just a normal wholesome dude!  When he started his talk, he literally just whipped out a bunch of wholesome jokes, and you could immediately see the absolute joy this man had in his life! Also, since us Hermanas were in the front row, he said, "Hola! Buenos tardes!" And spoke a little in spanish, which was an awesome surprise!
