Holaaaaaaa Not a crazy ton happened this week, but here's a list for y'all: ♡Mini golfing with the frenchies (french elders) on P-day!!! Got 3 holes in 1!!!  ♡EXCHANGES!!! With Sister Higley!! She's super great!! English work isn't though :( ♡At the food bank we volunteer at, there's this guy that only ever wants bacon. We named him the Bacon Man. Then we found out that his name was Joe. He's Joe the Bacon Man, wanted in two states. (I will not explain that second part any further.) ♡What's the most famous thing about Kentucky? KFC? WRONG! It's the Kentucky Derby of course!! Which happens to be in my area! They have this special event called Thunder over Louisville that we got to go to! It's basically a fair by the Ohio river!! ♡We have this one new member named Jero that is very picky with getting along with people. You have to basically earn his trust in order for him to pay you any attention. For a while, he hasn't bothered trying to talk or l...

🛸👽✨️ALIENS✨️👽🛸

Feliz Lunes hermanas y hermanos!!! I got some stories for y'all. Las extraterrestres That's right. ✨️ALIENS✨️  One of our members named Carmen told us her alien-encounter experience: It was the middle of the night. She was at home, on her ranch in the middle of Mexico. Then BAM! The brightest lights she'd ever seen shined through the windows of her house. Then her whole family woke up to go see what was happening. Carmen heard muffled talking of somekind outside their home, and she worried for a second that it was the Cartel coming after them. (Mostly because their landlord at the time was a Government official, so a popular target.) Carmen's son peaked out the window, and she called out, "Felipe! No! It's not safe!" But he continued looking, and said, "Wow! Mom! Come look!!" Figuring it wasn't the Cartel, she peeked through the same window, and was amazed by what she saw. Two humanoid figures stood in the field in front of their house. She d...

It's enough to make a grown man cry

Hola Como esta? Este es tu conciencia. Ven a Cristo. Ahora👀 La Cena de sueñas  I got to meet one of the best members in my area! Her name's Kathy, she's unhinged, and we have dinner with her every Monday night. After eating dinner, it's traditional that we play an intense game of uno no mercy. I definitely won. For sure. El Hombre lloró We made a grown man cry the other day, but it was in a good way. He was going through some hard stuff in life, but then we showed him this one inspirational video, and he started tearing up. Super spirit filled and awesome👍 Quesadilla salado Something devastating happened. I was adding spices to my fancy quesadilla, when suddenly, the salt shaker broke, and a white tsunami of sadness drenched my delicious meal 😭  After attempting to clear it all off, Hermana Carson offered to eat it. I think it was the biggest regret of her life. Very crunchy quesadilla. Conferencia General We had General Conference!!! It was awesome!!! A bunch of members...

Holaaaaaaa Guys. So much has happened. I will try to keep it as short as possible. I might fail. Sorry 😬 Bautismo My last Sunday in Lexington we had a baptism!!!! Kaleesy is so awesome and it's amazing to see how getting baptized has re-activated her whole family! Her brother recieved the priesthood and got to baptize her!!!! Hermana Stiglich was so excited that she painted a Book of Mormon for Kaleesy! And then we all marked our favorite scripture for her to read!  Traslados (Transfers) Then I had to say goodbye to what's been my home for the past 4.5 months!  I payed my Adioses to all the amazing members, friends, and my comps! Lexington, I'm gonna miss ya! You were a great starting area! Then we got transfer news, and now I'm leaving my baby area to have a baby! Sorpresas de Dios (God's Surprises)  Yep. I'm a mom now! I got my trainee child! Crazy! But wait! There's more! I'm trio training, but I'm Senior Comp! And my "wife" just got ou...

Hola Chicas y chicos!!! Como les parece esta primavera? Es bien? Mal? Dejame saber! Todos son miembros We've been teaching this one really cool lady named Elena! We found her door knocking and she just happened to be looking for a Christian church that fits her! (So she ate down that restoration lesson).  Anyways, our second lesson in, her tía joins us, and when we pulled out our Books of Mormon, she basically said, "Hold up! I know that book!" And we were like, "Oh? How?" And she was like, "I was baptized into this church 30 years ago in Mexico." At first, we were worried that she hated the church now or something, but we quickly realized that she just lost touch with the church after moving to the states.  Then on Sunday, Elena pulled up with her whole family! Including her husband (who we thought was hard-core baptist) and her 13 year old daughter!!! And the best part? One of our members in the branch is her friend from work! They were chatting it u...

We're real... I think

Hi What are you guys grateful for today? I used to be grateful for the warm spring sun... until it turned me into a tomato :( This week was actually pretty good though. It started out slow, because all our activities got canceled while they were renovating the church, but it got better! Somos reales We got a new friend this week! His name is Omar and he was a referral from Facebook. When we first contacted him, he thought we weren't real. Even after we started having call lessons with him, he was like, "And you guys like... actually exist?" We kept telling him that we were real and that he should lowkey just come to church and find out for himself. He did! He thinks we're real now! Yay! Si, hablamos español One lovely day, us Hermanas decided to have dinner at a taco truck. The latino at the register started sadly talking to us in English. We all responded and started chatting in spanish, and his face quickly lit up. Next thing you know, we get 3 free drinks and a de...

Que pasa ca la vasa???

Holaaaaaaa Guess what? Something really cool happened this week! It was: Fecha bautismal!!! We got a friend on bap-date! Her name's Kaleesy and she is a member of a family that's been inactive for YEARS. But it's been really awesome seeing how preparing for her baptism has completely reactivated this family! Yesterday was the first day that the ENTIRE Salas family was at church in 3 years! So many people were excited to see them! And the oldest son got ordained a priest so he can baptize his sister! Drogado (high) In other less spiritual yet somewhat entertaining news, we had a lesson with someone who was SUPER HIGH. We video-called him, and it was already clear that he was puffing smoke of somekind. Then he shamelessly held up this thing (I dunno drug words) and said it was a vape. Hermana Schaffer whispered over in English, "That's not a vape, that's weed." Anyways, we told him to put it away. Then I started teaching plan of Salvation, and while I was ex...
